Dermaplaning is an exfoliating procedure that is done with a scalpel. This treatment gets rid of dead skin, dirt and vellus hair (peach fuzz) whilst leaving your skin looking brighter and smoother. It is different to dermabrasion as the aesthetician uses a high-speed rotating brush to exfoliate the skin rather than the scalpel/blade.

Some of the benefits of dermaplaning include the softening of fine lines and wrinkles and the easing of hyperpigmentation or uneven skin tone. As well as leaving your skin brighter and smoother it can also be used to treat deep acne scars. These results can differ according to your skin type, tone and medical history. Most people have zero side effects but if they do these are normally just red and swollen skin or a slight burning/tingling sensation for about 48 hours following the procedure. We will not recommend dermaplaning if you have inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, rosacea or even sunburn.

As with all our treatments a consultation is required before any booking can be made. Please get in touch with us today for further information and an initial assessment of your requirements.
